What Dynasty Points are
Dynasty Points are your program’s annual budget in College Football 27. The Dynasty Blueprint is where you spend them, across three areas: your coaching staff, your facilities and NIL — both recruiting NIL and the NIL you pay to keep your own roster.
How you earn Dynasty Points
| Source | What drives it |
|---|---|
| School identity | Your Conference Prestige, Brand Exposure, Stadium Atmosphere and Program Tradition grades. |
| Season payouts | Winning your conference, reaching the College Football Playoff, winning bowl games and winning a national title. |
| AD Expectations | Some Athletic Director goals pay Dynasty Points when you complete them. |
| Fundraising staff | A support staff type increases the Dynasty Points you raise at the annual budget refresh. |
The Rainmaker archetype’s Contract Incentives ability increases the Dynasty Points you receive from completed AD Expectation goals. More on goals in the coaching carousel and AD Expectations guide.
The Dynasty Points calendar
Each kind of spending has its own window. Missing a window usually means waiting a full year.
| When | What you can do |
|---|---|
| End of Season Recap | Budget refreshes. Set Roster NIL. Upgrade or downgrade your facility (once a year). |
| Preseason | Hire and fire support staff — they’re locked in once you advance past the preseason. |
| Week 0 onward | Recruiting offers, each with NIL attached, deducted when you offer. |
| Conference Championship Week | Extend coordinators you want to keep, or fire coordinators. |
| Bowl Season (Coaching Carousel) | Hire coordinators, paid in Dynasty Points. |
Since the August 6 update, the End of Season Recap shows a summary of your new budget and how it changed from last year.
Blueprint Strategy and auto-management
Every coach has a Blueprint Strategy — a suggested way to split the budget. It doesn’t spend anything on its own; it’s a plan to build around. You can set it from Edit Coach or the Dynasty Blueprint Hub.
- Full Blueprint Management — the CPU handles all spending, following your Blueprint Strategy.
- Auto Support Staff and Auto Facilities — hand off just one area.
- If Auto Recruiting is on, it follows your Blueprint Strategy when deciding how much recruiting NIL to offer.
Support staff
- Slots: one per Team Prestige level, up to five.
- Tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Higher tiers cost more and do more.
- One of each type. To get more of an effect, buy a higher tier — you can’t stack two of the same.
- Preseason only. Once you advance out of the preseason, your staff is locked for the season.
| Staff effect | Why you’d want it |
|---|---|
| Cheaper support staff | Lowers the Dynasty Point cost of hiring your other staff. |
| Lower NIL expectations | Players expect less NIL from your program. |
| More weekly recruiting hours | More recruiting actions each week. |
| More offseason progression | Bigger development jumps between seasons. |
| More fundraising | Raises the Dynasty Points you get at the budget refresh. |
Facilities
Your facility tier sets the ceiling for your Athletic Facilities grade and how many pieces of equipment you can run. A better Athletic Facilities grade directly increases the progression and development boost your roster gets.
| Tier | Athletic Facilities grade | Equipment slots |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Facility | F | 1 |
| Competitive Facility | D- to D+ | 2 |
| Premier Facility | C- to C+ | 3 |
| Elite Facility | B- to B+ | 4 |
| National Powerhouse | A- to A+ | 5 |
- Upgrades take a year to arrive. You upgrade or downgrade once a year at the End of Season Recap; an upgraded facility is under construction through the offseason and opens in the following preseason.
- Maintenance is annual. Higher tiers cost more to keep. If you can’t or don’t pay, the facility drops one tier.
- Downgrading can be a strategy. Returning to a tier you recently left costs less than the first time.
- Equipment effects: raise your Athletic Facilities grade within your tier, extend equipment effects, and reduce practice Wear and Tear, season health usage and practice injury chance.
A simple yearly plan
Because the budget resets at the Recap and every area has a window, the order of decisions matters more than any single purchase:
- 1
At the Recap: retention first
Set Roster NIL for the players you can’t replace, then decide on a facility upgrade you can afford to maintain.
- 2
In the preseason: staff
Fill your slots with the effects your plan needs this year.
- 3
From Week 0: recruiting
Offer NIL to the targets you can realistically lead — every offer ties up points until the prospect signs elsewhere or you drop them.
- 4
In the carousel: coordinators
Keep enough points to replace a coordinator who leaves.
To compare programs before you start, the CFB 27 dynasty hub shows every team’s projected starters and the senior starters they lose after year one.
